Marie Bedabasingwa, Rwanda
Best Suited for Espresso
Tasting Notes of Peach and Praline
Single producer coffees are rare in Rwanda, and this microlot from Marie Bedabasingwa is something truly special. As a founding member of the Dukunde Kawa Cooperative, Marie has dedicated decades to coffee, using it to transform her life and support her children following the devastating 1994 genocide.
Grown on her farm in the rolling hills of the Gakenke District and processed at Dukunde Kawa’s Ruli washing station, this washed lot is a beautiful reflection of Marie’s dedication, skill, and commitment to quality. Roasted for espresso, it’s bright with juicy peach, rich with nutty praline, and rounded out by a creamy, sweet finish. Smooth, structured, and deeply comforting - basically, everything we love about Rwandan coffee in one exceptional cup.
