Gakuyu-Ini PB, Kenya
Best Suited for Espresso
Tasting Notes of Lime and Blackcurrant
Peaberries might be small, but they’re packed with serious flavour. Unlike regular coffee beans, peaberries grow solo inside the cherry, giving them a rounder shape and extra sweetness. They make up only a small fraction of a total harvest, so you know a whole lot of dedication has gone into producing this lot. Grown by smallholder farmers in Kirinyaga County and processed at Gakuyu-Ini washing station, this peaberry lot goes through careful sorting and a meticulous washed process to bring out all of its natural sweetness and crip acidity. Roasted for espresso, this coffee is bright, clean, and smooth. Juicy blackcurrant and zesty lime shine, balanced by a crisp, refreshing finish. It’s sweet yet structured, vibrant yet balanced - basically, everything we love about Kenyan coffee in one delicious cup.
