Juana Mamani, Bolivia
Best Suited for Filter
Tasting Notes of Pear and Hazelnut
Juana Mamani bought her farm in Caranavi when she was just 16. Seven years later, she placed second in Bolivia’s Cup of Excellence. Need we say more? Now, with over two decades of experience, and a whole lot of skill, Juana and her husband Juan continue to produce exceptional coffee at Finca Llana. With support from the Sol de la Mañana program, they’ve fine-tuned their practices to grow coffees that are elegant, expressive, and beautifully layered.
This washed lot undergoes a 72-hour fermentation in stainless steel tanks before being carefully washed and dried, bringing sweetness, clarity and depth. Roasted for filter, it’s full-bodied and delicate at the same time. Expect notes of pear, hazelnut, and a smooth, rounded finish. An exceptional cup from a producer we’re proud to work with.
