Ayla Bombe Natural, Ethiopia
Best Suited for Filter
Tasting Notes of Lemon Meringue and Earl Grey Tea
From the hills of Ethiopia’s Sidama zone comes Ayla, a coffee that’s as elegant as its name. Named after the niece of Testi Coffee’s founder, the Ayla washing station brings together the work of hundreds of smallholder farmers, each contributing tiny harvests that add up to a coffee with remarkable clarity and sweetness. At the Ayla washing station, cherries from each kebele are kept separate to preserve their individual character, and this particular lot comes from the kebele of Bombe.
Roasted for filter, Ayla Bombe is bright and aromatic, with the lifted citrus sweetness of lemon meringue followed by soft, floral notes of Earl Grey tea. Light on its feet yet full of character, it’s a cup that feels refined, refreshing, and beautifully expressive of where it comes from.
