Kamvara Estate AA, Kenya
Best Suited for Espresso
Tasting Notes of Limoncello and Purple Grape
Limoncello and purple grape? Yes, please. Kamvara Estate AA is a beautifully vibrant Kenyan from Grace Wanjiru Njagi’s nine-hectare farm in Embu County. Grace and her husband established the estate in 1962, and after his passing in 2009, Grace continued running the farm independently, a remarkable legacy spanning more than six decades.
This washed AA is packed with juicy sweetness, balancing bright citrus acidity with a rich, satisfying mouthfeel. Think zingy limoncello and juicy purple grape, with a beautifully lingering sweetness and enough structure to make it seriously satisfying as espresso. Zesty, juicy and wonderfully moreish, it manages to be both refreshing and indulgent. A complex number with plenty of personality, and a pretty special story behind it.
