Ichuga AA, Kenya
Best suited for filter
Tasting notes of keylime pie and blackcurrant
From the rich red soils of Nyeri, Kenya, comes Ichuga AA, a coffee that is as vibrant as the land it’s grown on. Produced by smallholder farmers and processed at the Ichuga Washing Station, this lot is made up of classic Kenyan varieties SL28, SL34, and Ruiru 11, grown in the high-altitude foothills of Mount Kenya. Conditions here are ideal for producing coffees with exceptional clarity and sweetness, and Ichuga is no exception.
Roasted for filter, this lot is lively and expressive. It opens with the zesty brightness of keylime pie, rounded out by the juicy depth of blackcurrant. Clean, structured, and endlessly drinkable, Ichuga AA is a shining expression of Kenyan coffee at its best. A delightfully layered cup that lingers.
