Tasting Notes of Peach and Jasmine
Hailing from Ethiopia’s Guji region, Hadeso washing station is one of the shining stars among Testi Coffee’s network of 26 stations. At the heart of Hadeso are 500 independent farmers, each tending organic micro-plots with care. The region’s cool climate and towering elevations slow the ripening process, allowing cherries to develop remarkable sweetness and complexity. This washed lot is from Testi’s Premium Cherry Selection initiative, which emphasises meticulous attention to quality. Only the ripest cherries are delivered to the wet mill, where they are pulped, graded by weight, and then washed in fresh water tanks for 36-48 hours. After a final 12-hour soak, the coffee is laid to dry on raised African beds for 10-12 days. The result? A stunning cup with sparkling peach acidity and delicately dazzling floral notes. It’s bright, clean and downright delightful.
