Produced by Dawit Dangiso in the privileged Sidama growing region, high elevations and shade cover ensure slow cherry maturation resulting in floral and fruit-forward flavours. Single producer Ethiopian lots like this one are hard to come by, so this coffee is really special. 50% Gishubi, a washed process from the Kayanza Province in Northern Burundi, this full bodied lot brings balance to the cup. An excellent example of what the country has to offer, mists from the nearby Kibira National Park contribute to the cool micro-climate that allows for steady sugar development in coffee cherries. Combined with meticulous processing, the result is syrupy sweet.
